Dallas Derby Devils Present Game Three
Saturday, April 21st, 2007: The Dallas Derby Devils proudly present Game Three of their 2007 season in Grand Prairie, Texas. Rivalries have begun and strategies are being tested for this action packed dual between four of the five DDD teams. Last month, The Slaughterers mutilated The Death Row Rumblers in a 117 to 2 victory, while the High Seas Hotties had a close game with the Wrecking Crew and kept their undefeated status with a win of 60 to 52. Though early in the season, all teams are bringing their A-Game, scratching and clawing their way to the Championship.

Dallas Derby Devils Present Game 1: Season Opener
Saturday, March 3, 2007: The Dallas Derby Devils proudly present the 2007 season opening bout, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Since their 2006 season ended in August, the Devils have been painstakingly hitting the track in preparation for this year’s nine game season. This year brings some surprises with the introduction of the newest team, The Death Row Rumblers, as well as numerous rookie skaters on all five teams. Last year, the High Seas Hotties gained the lead as the number one team in the Dallas Derby Devils, but this year any team could steal their crown. Will the Slaughterers hold a grudge against the Hotties for defeating them during the 2006 Championship? Will the Suicide Shifters step up their game and prove they deserve victory? This will be the most action-packed Saturday night EVER!

The first day of the 2007 WFTDA Western Conference Tournament is behind us, and the recaps and blog posts are starting to pop up. There will surely be more as the animals on hand wake up in the desert derby paradise known as Tucson. Those lucky bastards get to sleep in this year. Last year we had to up at the crack of dawn for 8am bouts! Anyway, here's some stuff to check out. More to come as it appears around the web.
- Kevin Smith at the AZ Star has a running color commentary (which should continue throughout the weekend)
- Derby gypsy Hurt Reynolds has some commentary from behind the plexiglass
Those of you snapping pictures at the tournament - post them to Flickr right now!

Jet sent in this recap of the TX by TX bouts last weekend. Congrats to the Hustlers, yo. "The format was a bit different this time around. The two Dallas teams would play each other in a one-period 15-minute bout, and then the Hustlers would play the Hell Marys in the next bout. The winners of each would square off against each other for the inaugural TX-by-TX trophy. So technically, it was the TX by TX battle royale."
