Starting today, leadjammer.com and DNN are one. All news and Gnosis' blog posts will now be at http://derbynewsnetwork.com. Leadjammer.com, meanwhile, will be re-tooled to support a more robust and flexible "boutcasting" engine. If you caught the live play-by-play of the WFTDA Eastern or Championship tournaments last year, you'll know what I mean.
Enjoy the new DNN!

We believe this is the same crew that came out to cover a Renegades event here in Phoenix earlier this year. A copy of ESPN's announcement follows:

You won't see any movement in the elite portions of this list; the top ten in the WFTDA are the same as they were in January. All the action this spring has been in the upper reaches, but now that the WFTDA has 55 member leagues (39 of whom are ranked) anything in the top 20 is worth some bragging rights. Read on for the numbers.

Hi everyone!
This is just a shameless plug to get y'all to check out some images made by my very talented husband. He's a professional photojournalist and started documenting roller derby at Dust Devil 2006, shot at Heartland Havoc, the Texas Shootout, along with quite a few interleague bouts.

This happened at the Throwdown scrimmages
Body: One of our Navy City Roller Girls sustained a very serious injury doing what she loved most...ROLLERDERBY. She broke her right ankle in 3 places, she now has 11 screws and 2 plates.
Due to excessive swelling she must wait for a hard cast, after the hard cast comes 6-8 weeks with no weight bearing on her leg.
The doctors have told her that she is in amazing health for a woman of her age and should recover completely.
