Lifetime Supply of Bearings!

Who wants a lifetime supply of bearings?
Did you know that many Abec 9 bearings come greased? Unless you weigh a ton and a half, which I doubt any roller derby girl does, grease will slow you down. You need to LUBE those balls up. The skaters at Via just took their first product outta the machine shop and guess what, now a very high-tolerance bearing just got degreased and lubed up, and the best thing yet- they’re cheap as shit. ($24.00)

$24.00? Well, what about this lifetime supply of bearings for free? Well, we didn’t know what to name them so we are leaving it up to you! If you can come up with a kick-ass name for our dialed bearings, we’ll give you a lifetime supply of bearings. So get your gears grinding, because we need a killer name!

How? Submit a great name for a bearing with a touch of roller derby to: rollcall@viaderby.com and if we choose it, you’ll get a lifetime supply of bearings.

Terms and conditions (fine print)
- We reserve the right to use the winning name.. blah de daug
- Winner will be awarded 2 bearing sets for herself only, annually, unless she is a total dirt bag, doesn’t take care of them and then is rewarded more.
- If the winner is not a roller derby skater, then the winner chooses one rollergirl of their choice and she is then rewarded the lifetime supply of bearings.
- If for any reason the roller derby skaters becomes or is injured, than until the roller derby skater is healed and ready to skate then her rollergirl of her choice will be rewarded the lifetime supply of bearings until she is healed. If the skater is retired per injury, or if the winner decides that she will not be able to bout after a full year of healing, the lifetime guarantee is denounced and if she decides to return to the track, then only will the lifetime guarantee resume.

Thank You!

Via Derby.com Announces Winner of LIfetime Supply of Bearings

Via Derby.com Announces Winner of LIfetime Supply of
Bearings
Via Awards Tata Bodacious of the Mobile Roller Derby of
Mobile, Alabama a Lifetime Supply of Bearings for Naming Via’s
Newest Product,  Bearings, "Loobie
Loo's”
Loobie Loos's is the name that sold the team at Via on their new lubed Abec 9 bearings.
Tata
Bodacious
submitted the name with this submission.
" I thought of the lyrics to the children's song
"Loopty Loo". It's well accepted that no one enunciates this
properly ('cause they're KIDS!) and it ends up being "Looby
Loo". Here we go looby lou, here we go looby lie, here we go looby
lou, all on a Saturday night (all together now!). I guess you could change
the spelling to "Looby". They can be you Looby Lou's."

Via plans to illustrate Bodacious' features for a 2 demensional
pin up character for the logo of Loobie Loo's bearings. They have
plans to turn Loobie Loo into a short animation for viral
video.
Via has awarded Bodacious with 2 sets of bearings every year, for
the lifetime of the bearings market life, "unless she doesn't
take care of them, in which they will award her with
more."
Bodacious is a single mother, jammer and nurse in Mobile, Alabama.
When asked to comment on her win, she said, "When I told the team at
practice tonight, they acted like they weren't surprised at all. They
said they already knew I was a cartoon. haha ha bitches. I love
them." -Tata Bodacious, Mobile Roller Derby, Mobile,
AL
When asked about plans for turning Bodacious into a cartoon,
Via's Creative Director said "It's really coincidental
because Tata said that her and her teammates got bearings tattooed on
their shoulders at RollerCon this year, and it just so happens that
Activision hooked me up to the video gaming sensor equipment and had me
skate in circles a couple weeks ago just to try it out and they gave me
the footage to use. It's perfect, we are going to match a drawing of
Tata to my motion data!"
Loobie Loo's bearings are high-tolerance, ABEC-9's that are
not greased, but applied with one of the thinnest lubricants specifically
designed for roller skating. Loobie Loo's bearings will be available
for resell and sale on December 15th, 2007. You can find them first on http://www.Viaderby.com.2.
