Dallas Derby Devils Present Game Three
Saturday, April 21st, 2007: The Dallas Derby Devils proudly present Game Three of their 2007 season in Grand Prairie, Texas. Rivalries have begun and strategies are being tested for this action packed dual between four of the five DDD teams. Last month, The Slaughterers mutilated The Death Row Rumblers in a 117 to 2 victory, while the High Seas Hotties had a close game with the Wrecking Crew and kept their undefeated status with a win of 60 to 52. Though early in the season, all teams are bringing their A-Game, scratching and clawing their way to the Championship.
To start off the night, The Slaughterers will take on their long awaited rivals, The Suicide Shifters. The last time these teams skater together, the hard hitters of the Slaughterers defeated the Shifters in an all out blood bath! While the Shifters gained some awesome new talent during the off season, the Slaughterers have a strong roster of seasoned skaters. The second game of the evening pits the strategic stylings of the High Seas Hotties against the DDD’s newest team, The Death Row Rumblers. This will be the first time either team has played against each other, so neither knows what to expect. But based on last month’s game, hopefully the Rumblers will bring a different game plan.
The competition will take place on April 21st, 2007 at Forum Roller World (1900 S Great Southwest Pkwy. Grand Prairie,) and doors open at 8:30pm with the skating beginning at 9:00pm. The Devils expect another capacity crowd. This bout will sell-out, get your tickets to this PG-13 event in advance for only $12 on our website (www.derbydevils.com) through Pay-Pal, or through your favorite DDD skater. If available, tickets at the door will be $15, kids 12 and under are free. As usual, feel free to BYOB, but no glass containers are allowed.
A portion of proceeds from Game 3 will benefit CAMP I-THONKA-CHI Parkland Burn camp. Burn Camp is a great way for children and teens to have fun in a caring setting. CAMP I-THONKA-CHI gives children the chance to meet others who have also been burned. The camp is staffed by warm and caring people who help children feel good about themselves. Children can share their feelings and learn many new and exciting things! This all takes place in the relaxing beauty of the great outdoors.
Also, mark your calendars for April 28th, 2007 for the first ever Dallas Derby Devils Vaudeville Varity Show at the Liquid Lounge in Dallas, TX. This event will showcase the exquisite talent the DDD skaters have off the rink with such performances as singing, dancing, and burlesque. A night not to miss!
Come out to the bout April 21st, to see how roller derby “Derby Does Dallasâ€Â!
